Where do I park? Is parking FREE?

Parking is free and ample.   Our address: 7825 Tuckerman Lane, Suite 211. The entrance is directly across from Gregoria Trattoria Restaurant and Dunkin Donuts. Enter the glass door, proceed to the elevators or stairs – we are in Suite 211 shared with ASPIRE PT.

NOTE: The building entrance is on the far end on the mall – to the right as you face the Giant Grocery store & Starbucks- with your back to Tuckerman Lane.

What should I bring with me to my appointment?

•Completed forms

•Prescription if you received one from your physician, any recent tests or surgical reports, bladder diaries or any pertinent documents that you may help the therapist.

•Payment for your visit.

Do I need a prescription?

We do not require a prescription for treatment. Your insurance company, however, may require it for reimbursement.

Although in the state of Maryland, you have access to an assessment and treatment by a physical therapist without a physician’s referral, problems with bladder, bowel, sexual function and pelvic pain should be evaluated by your medical doctor.

Should I bring anyone with me?

All visits are confidential and private. You can choose to have another person present, your choice. We welcome spouses, chaperones/ and or partners to come to treatments if you wish.

Should I cancel if I have my period?

Generally, NO. Yet if you suffer from heavy flows or cramps, you may feel more comfortable rescheduling.

Do you accept my insurance?

No, I am an “out of network” licensed physical therapist. I am not a preferred provider for any insurance; I am not a Medicare provider.

This independence and flexibility allows the therapist to spend more time with each patient. Being out-of network allows the physical therapist to practice without the insurance companies dictating the quality of care that we provide to our patients at Specialized Women’s Physical Therapy.

I do not bill insurance. Payment is due at the time of service. I will provide you with a receipt (with billings and diagnosis codes) that you can submit to your insurance company, health saving account or flexible savings plan.

NOTE: Most insurance companies do reimburse or cover a percentage of your physical therapy visits. We suggest you contact your insurance companies prior to your visit if you plan to submit for reimbursement; some require pre-certification or pre-authorization before your initial consultation.

When you call your insurance company - Questions to ask:

What percentage of reimbursement do you have? (60%, 80%, 90%, are all common)

Does the rate of reimbursement change because you’re seeing a non-preferred provider?

Does my insurer have a Pelvic Floor Physical Therapist “in – network”? If not, ask if it would be covered at in the in-network rates?

Does your policy require a written prescription from your primary care physician?

Does your policy require pre0authorization or a referral?

Do you have a deductible? And how much? How much has already been met?

NOTE: I do NOT accept Medicare and Medicare patients CANNOT be reimbursed by Medicare for visits with at Specialized Women’s Physical Therapy. I am sorry for the inconvenience.
